Day 5 – Pay it Forward

“You can’t live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you.”  ~John Wooden

Pay it Forward. The concept is tremendously beautiful.

It asks that when someone offers a generous act, instead of having that generosity be “paid back” to the giver, it be returned or “repaid” to the giver by having it done to others instead.  The one act of kindness then spreads its’ reach, and “ripples”, brightening the lives of multiple receivers.

In fact, by requesting that someone “pay it forward” when you have done your act of kindness, you are also offering an opportunity for that individual to know how wonderful it feels to do something kind for another human being.  You are giving that person not only the obvious gift of the kind deed, but also a hidden and more valuable gift.

That gift is the opportunity to live a “Perfect Day”.

Is there anything more beautiful?

With love and gratitude,
